Assembly Technician

Safe Gauge is a global leader in machine maintenance safety technology. Locally owned and operated, Safe Gauge offers a wide range of inhouse developed and built technical sensors for supply to the mining and other industries. Due to the continuing growth of Safe Gauge, we are requiring another team member for our production facility based in Beresfield.

About the role:

• Entry level position
• Immediate start
• Permanent full-time position 5 days a week
• Must have dexterity as manufacture involves small parts
• Preparing work batches by staging parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Using hand tools or machines to assemble products and components
• Conducting quality control assessments for production batches
• Error reporting and basic diagnostics of faulty parts and products in production
• Carrying out calibration & testing of finished products
• Entering completed production records into our inventory software
  

• Ideally have worked in a production facility previously or similar, however full on the job training will be provided
• Technically minded
• Effective communication skills
• Computer data input experience
• Ability to closely follow assembly and test procedures
• Good time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Able to work in a small team environment and share workloads as flexibility is a must, change is a guarantee, and growth is continuous
• Must have valid driver’s licence and vehicle
